The Anthro Sale

Anthropologie is one of my favorite stores, but I can’t shop their often because it is a little out of my budget.  However, Anthro is having an end of the summer sale where all sale items are an ADDITIONAL 30% off.  On top of this sale they are having a teacher discount until September 11th where you can get 20% off full-prices items.  All you need to do is show your teacher ID at checkout.

Last week I found the perfect transition to fall dress ON SALE at Anthropologie. It is right now $35 on their site in multiple colors with their sale. I purchased the mango color, but it took every bone inside of me to not get the other colors too.  I chose the mango because it reminded me of mustard yellow which is a classic fall color.  One of my favorite parts about this dress are the sleeves.  Statement sleeves are going to be a big trend this fall and I love how the sleeves don’t cover too much of your arms and slightly “puff” at the end.  The material to this dress is also very light and breathable. I would suggest ordering a size down. I am wearing a small, but I probably could fit into an extra small. Continue reading “The Anthro Sale” →

Against the Grain

I have always been the type that doesn’t “settle in”. I am usually learning a new skill or taking on a new challenge. I guess it’s in my blood. I grew up with a family of entrepreneurs and leaders. My grandpa started a printing business 30 years ago that him and my dad run to this day and my mom owns a business that creates apparel for other businesses. My parents also helped plant a church in 2015. I was raised in an athletic family as well. I have two brothers who were usually the best athletes on their teams. One even got drafted in the MLB by the Texas Rangers. On top of coming from a family of entrepreneurs and athletes, I was also raised a Christian. I know that I am not a perfect person, but my faith in Christ challenges me daily to never settle and to never be “lukewarm”.

As you can see from the picture above (the tall one), growing up I never blended in . I was tall, awkward, and stood out like a sore thumb. I had braces, a bad taste in hair product, and I wore socks with my sandals like it was my job. I wasn’t the most popular girl, but I did have friends. I was a very shy person who was okay with doing things my own way.
