I wore kimonos like they were my job this past summer. I love kimonos because they can add that “special something” to an outfit. I also love how I can wear kimonos in a variety of settings. I have worn them to the beach all the way to dressing up for a night on the town. One of my favorite places to get kimonos is a boutique called, Altar’d State. I purchased about 3 kimonos from their semi-annual sale they had in the summer. This floral kimono was one of my faves. Because this is more of a summer kimono, it is no longer in stock – BUT click HERE to look at their other FALL kimono options. there All of Altar’d State’s tops (kimonos included) are BOGO 50%. Click HERE for the sale. Continue reading “Floral Kimono”
Denim has always been my “go-to”. I don’t know if its because of my blonde hair or my casual/ sophisticated/ southern-ish style, but I have always drifted towards denim pieces.
This denim dress is a total S T E A L at H&M right now. I made a post about this dress when I first started my blog and it sold out quickly after I posted it – BUT GOOD NEWS – they have restocked this dress and it is only $20! I love it because of the ruffle detail and it can be worn in multiple seasons. I wore this dress with booties and I also liked the dress with these coral tassel heels to add a pop of color. I purchased these heels a while ago but I did find them in various colors linked below. Continue reading “Denim Dress”
I kinda went jacket crazy when I made a trip to Chicago a few weekends ago and bought three jackets. I love jackets because they can really be worn 3 out of the 4 seasons of the year and they are great layering / statement pieces.
One of the jacket purchases I made in Chicago was this band jacket from White House Black Market. I was super excited because this jacket is UNDER $50! I love the gold buttons on the sleeves and the front. It also hugs my body perfectly. One of my biggest struggles with jackets is that they are either too short or too boxy. The jacket I am wearing is a size 2.
These jeans are one of my favorite high wasted skinny jeans I have ever bought. They are only $16 at Boohoo with the code YAY50! The jeans are true to size, if anything order a size up just to be safe! They are a stretch material so they have some give to them. Continue reading “White Band Jacket”
Who else is ready for fall? Some of my favorite things to do in the fall are salvage shopping, getting hot drink from local coffee shops, having bi-weekly bonfires, and going to all of the festivals!
If you haven’t checked out my latest posts, I have been crushing over the mustard yellow color lately. I may have a problem! I recently purchased this off the shoulder sweater from Dottie Couture Boutique. I am wearing a size small. Dottie is always have sales and promotions going on. One of my favorite days to shop are on Tuesdays when all of their sale items are marked down. These cutout high wasted jeans are also my latest obsession from Boohoo. They are so comfy and I love the cutout detail. I am wearing a size 4. This pair runs true to size. If anything, order a size down.

I have been thinking this past week on what I should write about next. I never want any of my posts to seem forced, so I patiently waited until it was clear on what I should write about. The clarity came this morning during worship time at church. We were all reminded that singing and praising God should be more of an outpour of what is coming from our soul than just feeding the words in our minds. I bet we all can admit that at times we will sing a song and not truly reflect on the lyrics. I was challenged to use those lyrics to praise and worship to where it stirs up my soul. That is when I knew what I wanted to write about. I have decided that my next couple of posts are going to be fitness related due to a high demand of requests on my Instagram. I am already working on my favorite fitness routine so I thought why not mix fitness and faith together. Continue reading “My 1 Hour Playlist”
My favorite part of the day is the morning. I love the morning because I feel most productive during that time. I am the type of person who always has a “to do” list either in my head or on paper. Most of my life I would start my day with that “to do” list, but I never felt satisfied whenever I completed that list. It wasn’t until last November that I knew why… I was forgetting a VERY important item on that list. That item was God.
I was so caught up in myself, that I did not take the time to praise and to talk to God each morning. I would put my agenda before His and now looking back, all that “stuff” made me feel empty. My prayer relationship with God was reactive instead of proactive. I promised you from the day 1 of starting my blog that I would share with you my favorite things, so I want to share with you what I do the first 20 minutes of the day. The following devotionals have completely changed my life and my morning priorities. I encourage all of you not click on the next site or close out of this post because these books can change your life. Continue reading “My First 20”
