Hey friends! It feels good to finally be home after all of our June travels.  For those who missed it we drove out west for almost a month and traveled to Texas, Zion National Park in Utah, Bryce Canyon in Utah, Las Vegas, Los Angeles/Santa Monica, Sequoia National Park, Yosemite National Park, and Salt Lake City! It was a trip of a lifetime and I am so glad we did it.  We both missed the mountains so much and Zion and Yosemite were the last two *bigger* national parks we wanted to check off our bucket list.    If you are looking for a quick mini travel guide for these places reading this blog post.

With that being said I know alot of us like to travel different and there are so many different types of places you can travel to during the summer.  I wanted to round up some packing tips my vacation type (beach, mountain, and European) for those who are traveling this summer!

Packing Tips by Vacation Type

Beach Vacation Tip: Pack things that are easy to throw on and are lightweight etc.  I love bringing sundresses that double as both a day and night outfit just by swapping out casual shoes for heels. For a bag: Find a bag that can double as a travel bag and a beach bag.

Mountain Vacation Tip: Pack layers.  Temperatures can be as cool as 50-60s at night and get up to 80-90’s during the day depending on where you are going. I love packing a few flannels that can be worn both on and around your waist.  I also usually pack a denim jacket or a light cardigan. For a bag/purse:  I like to stick to something that is more casual and that you can take on short hikes.  I love the Lululemon crossbody bag!

European Trip: Less is more. When you are overseas the last thing you want to worry about is lugging a heavy suitcase around.  Try to keep your packing list simple and find pieces that can be worn with different outfits.   Dresses are key if you plan on traveling during the summer.  Pack only one type of shoe (a pair a heels, tennis shoes, and sandals);  For a bag: Pickpocketing is a big deal in Europe.   I like to use a bag that I can keep in front of me and that seals well.  I love wearing the Free People sling bag below.
