I have updated some products I used on my hair lately so I thought now should be a good time to share those with you. Most of these products I have been using regularly for over a year. I recently have gotten hair extensions from Extensions by Marie and use the fusion bond kind from Great Lengths hair, but my routine is still the same regardless of the extensions. I plan on writing a post in the future about most often asked questions about extensions.

Washing and Blow Drying My Hair:
I usually only wash my hair twice a week. I would recommend getting into the routine of washing your hair less because it is a time saver and its better on your hair. Start washing your hair every other day and then gradually space the days out over the course of a few months. Your body learned to produce the right amount of oils in your hair and will slowly become less oil. I use a Wet Brush that is made to brush through wet hair without damaging it. I have noticed a huge difference in the last three months I have been using it. I linked both a regular brush and a round wet brush below.
Curling and Styling My Hair:
I try to use the least amount of products in my hair because the more products I use the gunkier my hair will become and I will have to wash it sooner. My hair is naturally straight so I will usually keep it straight the first day and curl it the rest of the days. They key is the curling iron. I use the TWIRL 1.25 clampbut I did use the wand (Whirl TRIO)for over a year too. I love the wand, but I am more familiar with a clamp curling iron. I would say go with what you are use to because both are great curling irons and will give you the same results. When using the curling irons I would suggest using the Hot Toddy heat protectant spray. I love this spray because its made specifically for curling and its super light. The volume hairspray I linked it the BEST. I only use it for days I am shooting or attending events where I need to keep my hair in place.
Maintaining My Hair:
This is the part where you need to have patience. Because I only wash my hair twice a week, I am very specific as to what products I use and don’t use on my hair. After I exercise or when I am ready to shower I will put my hair up in a bun with scrunchies while I shower and not get my hair wet. Once I get out of the shower I will blow dry the parts of my hair that got when and use a round brushto give it more shape and to smooth it out. I use the small travel size T3 blow dryer, but I used a much cheaper one as for over a year that I still love (Linked it below). I will then continue with my curling routine from above. I actually don’t use dry shampoo as often as your think because over time it makes my hair clumpy. I only use dry shampoo that last day or so before I plan to wash it or the days where I feel like my hair needs a little volume. I have tried just about every dry shampoo out there and the Living Proof dry shampoo is the best. Shop my products below:
