Fall is here, and you know what that means – Indiana is about to show off its stunning autumn colors! There’s nothing quite like the shift to crisp morning air, snuggling up in oversized sweaters, and admiring the beautiful fall foliage. Whether you live in Indy or are planning to visit this fall, I have put together a list of all the fun things to do this season! Personally, I can’t wait to take Blake to the pumpkin patch, and you know Mike and I have another Colts game on our fall bucket list. Okay, let’s dive into Indy’s must-dos this fall! 

Pumpkin Patch

• Dull’s Tree Farm: Pay a one-time fee to get access to all of the rides and attractions on site. This is very kid-friendly! You could spend hours here picking pumpkins, going through the maze, riding ponies and rides, and petting animals! There is food on site as well. 

• Tuttle’s

Apple Orchard

• Stuckey Farms– Stuckey is a very family-friendly farm! There are a ton of activities for kids, including a bounce pad, slides, a hay ride, and a ton of other attractions. You can also pick your own apples here!

Fall Festivals

 

Covered Bridge Festival

• The Covered Bridge Festival is one of my favorite things to do in Indy in the fall! It only happens for 2 weeks each year and is a great festival to shop for all things fall and enjoy all the fall food. The festival is spread out all over Parke County, with each town having its own festival. Our favorite is the Bridgeton festival. The Mansfield festival is popular, but it has become very crowded over the years, and the tents have gotten a bit messy.
• Metamora Canal Days: This weekend-long festival usually takes place on the first weekend of October. It is similar to the covered bridge festival and takes place downtown Metamora. There are a ton of booths to shop and food!

Colts Game

If you haven’t gone to a Colt’s game, it is a must! They are so fun even if you don’t watch football regularly!

Walk, Run or Bike on the Monon trail

The Monon is a path that runs from downtown Indy all the way to Sheridan. It is a 27.1 mile path where you can bike, run, or go on a walk. There are a ton of parking lots along the way to hop on. I recommend taking the path through downtown Carmel and Midtown!

Leaf Peep in Brown County

Brown County is a fun little town south of Indianapolis that has a ton of restaurants and shops and is right outside Brown County State Park. There are a ton of hiking trails nearby, and it’s more “hilly” than the rest of Indiana!
