Last Sunday was one of the most magical days of our lives. We had out gender reveal and are SO excited to share that we are having a baby girl!! It has been a long journey to get here so regardless of gender we are filled with joy! I honestly had no guesses on what the gender was. I think its because I truly didn’t care and my mind was still on cloud nine of just being pregnant. Because of our journey, I knew that I wanted to go big with our gender reveal and wanted to make it a giant celebration!! It turned out to be one of the best days of our lives!! We cannot wait until our baby girl joins our family this summer!

Pretty much everything design wise was touched by Rachael from Party Little Things. Party Little things did all of the event styling, was the main point of contact for all of the vendors, ordered all of the supplies, and also helped me on the day of and during the event. She made my day go by so smooth and I barely had to do any prepping for the event! I told her my vision and she not only brought that vision to life. Party Little Things works out of the Indy and Chicago areas.
The Sixpence hosted our gender reveal and is the most beautiful venue! This venue was founded by a father and daughter and is in the northside of Indianapolis. The white walls and natural lighting are what brought everything to life!! The staff was so kind and welcoming the entire day! The Sixpence is also pet friendly for all of my couples out there with a fur baby. Denver was able to be part of our day!! It is a fairly new venue but it definitely growing in popularity in the area so if you are looking to book a venue for a special event in the future I would definitely contact them asap!!
Shelly Ruth Photography did all of the photography for the day and she is one of my favorites!!! Shelly is one of those people that become more than just a “photographer” when you meet you, you becomes a friend. She has the sweetest soul and is SO TALENTED! She knew exactly what do do and I never had to ask her to do anything because she was already on top of it! She just has a great eye for capturing moments and she will always make you laugh! She does a lot of family photos and senior photos so make sure to check her out!!!
Emelie Russell was our videographer for the event. She absolutely KILLED IT. I think I cry everytime I watch the gender reveal video. I first heard of Emelie from my followers! I asked for videographer recommendations in the Indy area and she was by far one of the most recommended. Her content is so romantic and she knows how to capture emotion. Without a doubt you won’t regret using Emelie for your next big event. She also travels too!! HERE is a link to the video she made for us. (grab your tissues!!)

VENUE WITH NEUTRAL DESIGN AND GREAT LIGHTING:
If you are someone who wants to have great photos and atmosphere I highly recommend finding a venue that has white or neutral walls with a ton of natural lighting. This makes photos and decorating SO much easier. If you are in the Indy area, The Sixpence is the most beautiful venue and it was perfect for our event. Every photo taken turned out so good and it was so easy for picture taking.
AESTHETIC BOUNCE HOUSE:
We knew we were going to have a bunch of kids attend so we wanted to make everything kid friendly so the parents aren’t having to constantly entertain them! Not only did the bounce house provide full entertainment for the kids and was filled the entire time, it also made the space complete! We rented it from Up and Away Party Co. and HIGHLY recommend booking through them!
FLORAL ARCH BACKDROP:
Because it was spring I wanted to make the theme garden, spring, happy vibes. I wanted something gender neutral that would pop with the white. Twilling Gate Events did all of our flowers and NAILED IT! I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful display!!! Twilling Gate also does decor as well. They are a one woman show with the help of her husband.
PUPPY BANDANA:
The puppy bandana was a last minute addition, but I am so glad we did it! I literally bought this off of Amazon 2 days before the event and I am so glad I did because it made a cute statement. We love our Denver and so happy that he got to join.
SWEETS CART:
This cookie cart was the cutest thing every and was created by Rachael from Party Little Things. It added so much to the space and it was fun to separate the cookies from the food table so that they had a moment. The cookies were such a hit with the kids and adults! We got them custom designed by PKB Sweets and Treats. I feel like the “cute and aesthetic” cookies never taste good and are always dry. Not the case with these cookies. EVERY single cookie was gone and I had multiple people tell me that these were some of the best cookies they have had! I will be a returning customer for sure for future events.
CONFETTI POPPERS:
I knew I wanted to do confetti poppers when we revealed the gender but we wanted to make sure it would show up in photos and videos. It was perfect!! We got the confetti poppers online from Super Celebrations and its the Luxe two sided paper with shimmer confetti cannons! We used about 20 at the official reveal and an additional 6-8 afterwards for photos and video.
KID FRIENDLY CHARCUTERIE BOARDS:
Because our event was mid afternoon we wanted to make sure that everyone was fed and with healthier, allergy friendly food options. We went with charcuterie boards from Fork and Function Events and they did not disappoint!! They were completely wiped out by the end of the event and we ordered almost double than what we needed!!!
PERSONALIZED NAPKINS AND STIRRERS:
This was another detail thought of by Rachael from PParty Little Things that made the cutest touch!! I am keeping the leftovers for future baby showers because they are so dang cute!! She also did personalized drink stirrers. Having Rachael was such a lifesaver because she is so detailed and the tiniest little things made a difference!
PINK AND BLUE LEMONADE BAR:
This was a fun way to vote for gender and also functional! The drinks were provided by The Sixpence which has a full bar!
