We finally made it to NYFW and this midwest girl is trying to make her way in the big city!  We arrived this morning and first took an Uber to our place to freshen up.  It is in such a great location and is close to all the big spots.  We are so thankful for our host.  She has done nothing but spoil us since we have been here and we are very fortunate.  We are less than a mile to most of the major site seeing spots in NYC and a 15 minutes subway ride to SoHo.  It was a HOT day in New York today.  I probably sweat off 10 pounds.  The heat however will not get in the way of me sharing all of my fall looks this week!

After cleaning up we had a meeting at the Warby Parker Headquarters in SoHo.  Warby Parker has been my “go-to” eyewear shop for the past few years, and I recently have had the great opportunity to parter with them from time to time!  It was cool to see their headquarters and the behind the scenes of what Warby Parker does.  After touring their main office we walked a hop and a skip away to their flagship store.  It was beautiful! Warby Parker’s iconic bookshelves were on every wall and just about every color and shape of glasses and sunless possible were there.  I walked away with the cutest pair of glasses and sunglasses.  See below for pictures and links to my picks.

One of my favorite parts about NYC is that there are no rules to fashion. Every outfit that you pass on the streets is a work of art.  There is no limit to what prints and patterns you can put together in an outfit here. I would say the biggest trends right now are leopard print, graphic tees,  and wearing tennis shoes with just about anything, including dresses.  Any look that involves comfy shoes I am all in!

I decided to go casual today with my travel and street looks.  I have been loving the mom jean, graphic tee, and heel look lately.  I even backed a pair of flats in my purse just in case my feet would start hurting. This recent Rolling Stones graphic tee purchase was worth every penny.  I love being able to dress it up and down and the price is pretty affordable.  I would order your usual size.  I wish I could provide a link to my jeans, but they are a $3 goodwill purchase.  HA. I linked a few pairs that I own personally that fit almost identically.

Tonight Karina and I are attending a launch party near SoHo and we are so excited to get all dressed up.  After walking around sweating all day, it will feel nice to get fancy.

I am going to *try* to keep you all updated each day here on the blog, but some days are pretty booked so I will have to bunch them together! Meanwhile you can stay tuned to my NYFW adventures on my Instagram stories.
